September 2009 - FEDEX AND THE COLOR COMPANY
WORLD SERVICE CENTRE AT POLAND STREET SOHO IN THE HEART OF LONDON’S WEST END CHANGES STATUS
It has been announced today, 28th September 2009, that The Color Company have acquired the retail premises at 27 Poland Street London W1. This will enable customers to continue to ship and drop off packages in the heart of the West End. For the last 10 years this venue has been well established as a FedEx World Service Centre and the service offered to customers is set to continue as The Color Company adds the sixth FedEx Authorised ShipCentre to its London operations.
The other five FedEx Authorised ShipCentres, that The Color Company operate for FedEx, include No 1 Curzon Street, Mayfair that opens on a 24/7 basis, Canary Wharf, The Strand, Cannon Street and Fenchurch Street. The Color Company have been established since 1996 and over the last 12 years they have evolved from being a traditional print and reprographics company into a fully blown Marketing Support Service - see www.color.co.uk.
With immediate effect Poland Street will be extending its services on offer. Customers will not only be able to ship using the established FedEx International Priority service to 220 countries and territories worldwide but will also be able to drop off packages destined for the whole of the United Kingdom. In a further addition to the service customers will now be able to pay by cash as well as using any of the major credit cards.
More improvements to service are in the pipeline. During October 2009 there will be a programme to roll out access to all of The Color Company’s comprehensive offerings such as digital print, direct mailing and large format printing. It is also planned to increase opening times and include Saturday as well.
An ebullient Operations Manager Julie Rushton-Summers explained “This is an exciting addition to our network of stores being so close to Oxford Street, Oxford Circus and Soho. With the recovery of the economic climate we have found there has been considerable growth in our other FedEx Authorised ShipCentres and we are absolutely delighted to be taking on this operation from FedEx”

May 2009 - FedEx Kinko's announce sale of 5 UK locations
FedEx Kinko's has sold its five UK locations to Printing Investments Limited, trading as "The Color Company". The five FedEx Kinko's outlets, four in central London and one in Reading, will be rebranded under the The Color Company banner – please see www.color.co.uk.

The Color Company is a Central London-based print firm that was established in 1992 with three operations. The Color Company confirms that it will continue to process that data for the same purposes as it was originally collected by FedEx Kinko's Limited.

December 2007 - The Color Company purchase the Xerox iGen3 Digital Print Engine
The Color Company have made a substantial investment in the Xerox iGen3 Digital Print engine. This breakthrough technology set to revolutionise print communications will allow on-demand print, variable copy and image, greater relavance on client campaigns, books, catalogues, brochures, direct mail, inserts, magazines and flyers with litho comparible graphic arts quality. The Color Company can nowuse data captured from CRM databases and websites in print materials to increase and effect response and behaviour for companies marketing campaigns.
September 2007 - The Color Company purchase new premises at Bromley-By-Bow
The Color Company have purchased a secure business premises in Bromley-By-Bow within the 2012 Olympic Park Zone. The new premises is to be the centre for our digtal print service offering a central London location for us to manage securely future on-demand digital print with quick delivery and response to Canary Wharf and the City. This is a move away from the high street copy shop business premises to bespoke digital solutions driven by the client need for increased relevance in print communications.
