A Royal Warrant of Appointment is granted as a mark of recognition to people or companies who have regularly supplied goods or services to the Royal Household.
By Appointment to His Majesty The King Suppliers of Print & Promotional Products
The Color Company is honoured to hold a Royal Warrant, a mark of recognition awarded to businesses that have supplied goods or services to the Royal Household for at least five consecutive years
Granted by His Majesty King Charles III, our Royal Warrant reflects more than a quarter-century of consistent excellence in print and promotional merchandise.
It represents standards we maintain not just for the Royal Household, but for every client we serve.
What the Royal Warrant Means
A Royal Warrant isn't awarded lightly. Only around 800 companies hold this distinction at any time, and it requires:
• Proven quality – At least five years of continuous supply to exacting standards
• Sustained excellence – Ongoing performance that meets Royal Household expectations
• Ethical practice – Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and responsible business conduct
We've held our Warrant through decades of technological change and market evolution because we've never compromised on what matters: precision, reliability, and service.
Standards That Apply to Everyone
The same meticulous attention we bring to Royal commissions applies to every order we fulfill:
• 24/7 service – Because your deadlines don't respect office hours
• In-house production – Direct control over quality at every stage
• Discretion and confidentiality – Your projects are handled with the same care we'd give any sensitive commission
• No compromise on detail – From artwork to delivery, we get it right
Heritage Meets Modern Capability
Our Royal Warrant represents heritage, but The Color Company is far from traditional. We combine:
• State-of-the-art digital and offset printing technology
• Full promotional merchandise sourcing and customization
• Round-the-clock production capability
• Modern online ordering systems with personal service backup
The result is a rare combination: the reliability and standards of a Royal Warrant holder with the responsiveness and innovation today's businesses require.

About The RWHA
The Royal Warrant Holders Association was formed in 1840 to ensure the continued existence of the Royal Warrant as a treasured institution. Today it continues to assist with the administration of Warrants, as well as advising members on all Royal Warrant matters. The Association is not part of the Royal Household, but belongs to its members. Membership is open to all Warrant-holding companies. Alongside its partners, the Association offers a full events programme and opportunities for members to connect at a national level and through its local associations. It also supports selected charities through its Charity and craftspeople via QEST. Once a year, the Association also awards the Plowden Medal for advancement within the conservation profession.
History
The history of the Royal Warrant can be traced back to medieval times, when competition for Royal favour was intense and the Monarch had the pick of the country's best tradespeople. By the 15th century, the Lord Chamberlain, as head of the Royal Household, formally appointed tradespeople with a Royal Warrant of Appointment – a practice that continues to this day. In the 18th century, Royal tradesmen began displaying the Royal Arms on their premises and stationery. In 1840, the Royal Warrant Holders Association was formed.
